Geothermal energy is Earth's heat energy that we can utilize for society.

There are three ways in which we can utilize geothermal energy:
- Power production - generate electricity
- Deep Direct Utilization (DDU) - apply the heat to industrial
- Thermal Energy Networks (TEN)

In order to access this heat energy so we can put it to work, we need to find where the heat is coming close to the surface so we don't have to drill too far down. Then we find where the best place to drill for the energy is, then we conduct a test drill. The report we create with the results is called a feasibility study. This will tell is how much power we can get out of the study area, and how much it will cost to access it.

DATA CENTERS - HOW GEOTHERMAL TECHNOLOGY CAN HELP MITIGATE POWER REQUIREMENTS AND WATER CONSUMPTION
Geothermal energy can provide a self-sustaining infrastructure for data center power requirements, rendering the facility completely off grid.
Water consumption to cool data processing systems can be reduced by utilizing the Earth's ambient temperature via a closed-loop system.
